Vikings to make Playoffs +140
The Minnesota Vikings to make the postseason at +140 is one of my favorite NFL futures this season.
The bet starts with Kyler Murray. If you don’t believe in Murray, this play probably isn’t for you, but I do. When healthy, he brings mobility, creativity and enough arm talent to change what this offense can be. Minnesota went 9-8 last season despite poor quarterback play, so even a meaningful improvement at the position gives this team a much higher ceiling.
I also trust the coaching staff. Kevin O’Connell has proven he can get production out of his offense, and Brian Flores gives the Vikings one of the better defensive minds in football. That combination matters because this isn’t a team that needs Murray to carry everything by himself. The structure around him is already strong.
There are multiple ways for this bet to cash. Minnesota can absolutely win the NFC North, but I prefer the playoff price because it gives us more room. The Vikings can finish second in the division and still get there through a wild card, which makes +140 attractive.
I’m not interested in forcing a Super Bowl longshot here. Sure, if everything breaks right, Minnesota could make a deeper run than people expect. But I like other teams more at the very top of the market, so I’d rather keep this simple.
The thesis is straightforward: Minnesota was already competitive with poor quarterback play, and now the Vikings have a quarterback who can raise the level of the entire offense.
If Murray stays healthy, I expect an exciting and winning season in the Twin Cities.
Minnesota Vikings to make the playoffs at +140 is the play.
